Mongrel Boots
New Boot Making Machine in Sydney
Mongrel Boots engaged Inspireal to produce an informative walkthrough video of their brand new 30 station DESMA direct injection moulding machine. The new machine will replace their old 24 station machine after 15 loyal years of manufacturing in their Sydney factory.
Project Considerations:
Highlight Mongrel’s dedication to AUS manufacturing
Demonstrate the machine’s stages of production from start to finish
Highlight technology, robotics & automation of the machine
Two versions of long form to be delivered:
Public version (fit for general consumption across all applications & viewing methods)
Conference version (to support a presentation & promotion at the Independent Workwear Specialists [IWA] Trade Show)
Production Methods:
Utilise dialogue to educate the viewer about the production process
Avoid slow pacing & dated visual techniques
Slow shutter speed to make slow movements appear exaggerated
Timelapse to condense long tasks
Match cut logos in the factory as a substitute to a graphic overlay in post
Inspireal Films handled all aspects of production, including:
Liaising directly with the brand manager throughout pre & post production
Conceptualising a brief
Packaging various deliverable media assets
Half a day on location at the Mongrel Boots factory in Sydney, Australia
Capturing additional moments to build out the footage archive
Post-processing of all media
Raw footage supply with perpetual commercial licensing
Ensuring deliverables were timeless for future usage & display
Sequences were shot on Sony & DJI cameras, processed in Lightroom & LRTimelapse, compiled in After Effects to 4K UltraHD footage & finally; synchronised, sound designed & colour corrected in Adobe Premier Pro.
